well, i just went to my girlfriends confirmation and it was so weird. i'm not catholic so i had no idea what masses were ran like and i felt awkward. it was interesting in a way, but very strange in some ways aswell. Don't mean to offend anyone by any means, just expressing myself.

During Holy Mass, was the bishop facing the people at a table, or was he facing away from the people and towards an altar?

and he was speaking english the whole time? If that is the case, you must bear in mind that that is not true catholicism, as many people believe. That is what is called Norvus Ordo, Latin for, "New Order." The Holy Mass was greatly changed at the second vatican council (A gathering of bishops that occured in 1963, to discuss church docrtine), to the point where the new mass that is celebrated today was completely different from what has been known for close to two thousand years of catholicism. It is heretical, and is so far removed from what can be considered a valid Mass to the point of being almost another religion. If you want true Catholicism at its heart, you need to look up the Traditional Latin Mass; or the Old Latin Rite.

I've sat through several Catholic masses and I'm agnostic. I attend no church regularly.

our confirmation class was sweet, i actually had a lot of fun. I visited the Vatican in Rome just last week Ender. Observed Sunday Mass too, didn't see the head honcho though, kinda disapointed...
