Call of Duty 4 hands down, it's the best one on the poll in my opinion. Call of Duty 2 is good as well. World At War is not that great, i've played it. It's not made by Infinity Ward so it pretty much sucks balls. I really think you should get F.E.A.R. 2 and maybe the first one as well if they have it wherever you buy your games Twig. It's a first person shooter with some horror elements to it, both of them. It's hours of fun, especially late at night with all the lights off.

THE f**k! World at War pwns all! Seriously I have both, well for the ps3, and if your lookin for single player then fine the storyline in COD4 is pretty interesting but for multiplayer go World at War hands down. The maps are ten times more intricate, the guns more interesting, and the gameplay is much more intense. I have had the most fun on World at War fo sho. Its basically COD4 with amped up maps and gameplay. BUY IT!.

I prefer modern weaponry. Well, I don't really play that much multiplayer on the PC that much after the things that happend on SWBF2. So I never tried the multiplayer for World At War, I just played the campaign and never really touched it again. The same goes for Call of Duty 4, I really only played the campaign. I think the single player story and plot matters much more than the multiplayer aspect of a game. Plus on multiplayer, you always have to deal with assholes all the time. Its fine on Halo 3 because I have people muted and don't have to listen to their bullshit. What im trying to say is that on the campaign of any game, you don't have to deal with the annoyance of f**k**g idiots and the constant "Im better than you, you suck." or "My clan kicks you clans ass." Why can't people just be nice to each other during a game? It's so stupid. I play games for the story, not for the multiplayer which is simply just a shadow of the campaign. Understand, this is just my opinion and Tchdwn, I know that your the type of person that doesnt really let other people get to you so im sure you get alot of enjoyment out of multiplayer. I'm not that kind of guy and I get more enjoyment out of the single player apsects of games. Mostly because of the horrible experience I had with SWBF2 multiplayer. Dealing with assholes on a daily basis is not for me anymore.

in the spirit of adversity i'm going with Knights of the Old Republic 1. By one of the top 10 best RPGs of all time. It has very open gameplay and due to how long it takes to 100% finish it. You will not finish it in a single day. A first timer may beat it in a week or two. Overrall great storyline, a lot of mystery to it, and it develops a new era of Star Wars lore from stratch in the time period of Sith vs. Jedi. DO NOT get Kotor 2: SithLords first, You need to play Kotor 1 in order to get the whole story.

Well Knights of the Old republic 1 or 2 are great choices. They both have amazingly lengthy storylines and are very fun to play. I personally own them both and I've beaten them like 5 times each.
